This notice explains how Dance College Studios handles personal information connected with this website, enquiries, photographs and videos, and optional website services. The current controller contact details are shown above and are managed from the website contact settings.
When you contact us
The website contact form prepares an email in your own email application. The form is not submitted to, or stored by, the website. If you choose to send the email, Dance College Studios receives the name, email address, subject, message, and any other information you include through its email service.
We use enquiry information to reply, help you choose a class, arrange a trial, or take steps towards registration. Depending on the enquiry, this is necessary to respond to your request, take steps before an agreement, operate the studio, or meet a legal obligation.
Photographs and videos
Photographs and videos can identify a person and are personal information. Dance College Studios obtains specific permission before using identifiable images to promote the studio on the website, agreed social media channels, or other agreed materials. For children, permission must come from a parent or legal guardian.
Photography and video permission is optional and separate from class registration and participation. Refusing permission must not prevent a student from joining classes. Permission can be withdrawn by contacting the studio. After withdrawal, the studio will stop new uses and take reasonable steps to remove the material from channels it controls. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful use invalid, and the studio cannot always control copies already made by other people or platforms.
For children and parents
We want children and parents to understand this clearly: a child does not have to appear in promotional photographs or videos to attend dance classes. A parent or guardian can say no or change their mind by contacting the studio. We avoid publishing children’s full names with images.
Website hosting and service providers
The website is hosted by Vercel. Website content is managed with Payload CMS, production content is stored in a Neon database, and uploaded website images are stored with Vercel Blob. These providers may process limited technical information needed to deliver, secure, maintain, and back up the website. Published gallery photographs and other public media are available to anyone visiting the website.
We may also use email providers, professional advisers, and social media platforms where necessary for the purposes explained in this notice. We only share information that is needed for the relevant service or legal requirement.
Analytics and local storage
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregated website traffic. Vercel states that this service does not use third-party analytics cookies or associate page views with an identifiable person. A temporary visitor hash is discarded after 24 hours. We do not use Google Analytics or PostHog.
The website stores your optional-content choice in your browser so it can remember whether Google Maps may load. This preference does not identify you and can be changed at any time using Cookie settings in the footer.
Google Maps
The embedded Google Map is blocked until you allow optional content. If you allow it, your browser connects to Google and Google may receive technical information such as your IP address, device and browser details, and the page you visited. You can withdraw permission through Cookie settings, which removes the embedded map. Opening an external Google Maps link takes you to Google under Google’s own privacy terms.
How long information is kept
Enquiries are kept only while needed to answer, follow up, manage a resulting registration, meet legal obligations, or handle possible legal claims. Photographs and videos are kept only while needed for the agreed purpose or until permission is withdrawn, subject to any information that must be retained to record the permission or withdrawal. We periodically review information and remove it when it is no longer needed.
International services
Some technology or social media providers may process information outside Malta or the European Economic Area. Where data protection law requires it, the relevant provider or Dance College Studios must use an approved transfer safeguard.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to its use. Where processing relies on permission, you may withdraw it at any time. Contact Dance College Studios using the details above to exercise a right. We may need enough information to confirm your identity.
Complaints
Please contact Dance College Studios first if you have a privacy concern so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta at idpc.org.mt.
Changes to this notice
We update this notice when our website, studio practices, or service providers change. The review date at the top shows when the current wording was last checked.
